Hi,

Every time I go to upgrade (download and install) 2.2.3 Free Edition, Avast blocks it believing it has detected the Win32:Evo-gen malware.

I've been using Avast for years now and trust it. Why would it think you have malware?

Cheers,

I can assure you that there is nothing dangerous in our software. The blocking by Avast seems to be a heuristic hit due to similarity search. No idea why it detects something in t4 editor, but this is the first time I hear about any Anitvirus software blocking t4 editor install.

Hi,

I just also double checked by downloading from the Microsoft Visual Studio Gallery Server. And even the bits there do not show a sign of malware or virus. I checked using several antivirus solutions.

Furthermore this is the first time we hear about this.

According to the stats on the Microsoft Server the software has been loaded several thousand times and no one reported an issue.

So you can be safe this is safe software from a safe download location.

Best Regards

Tim
