I created a T4 template that includes several other templates to generate scaffolding for an in-house API. I then wrote a Visual Studio Extension (VSIX) that includes a WPF form to capture user input and initiate the transforming of the T4 template. I am doing all of this in Visual Studio Professional 2013 (Update 5).

When I test the templates manually by right clicking the main T4 template and selecting Run Custom Tool, the files are generated and placed into the appropriate dummy projects in my VSIX solution.

However, when I test the extension running an experimental instance of VS2013 and click the menu item that brings up the form. The code executes successfully with the appropriate files being created on disk (as seen in Windows Explorer), but none of the files are appearing in the solution from where I initiate the test.

Anybody have any ideas on why this is happening?
